The Deputy Minister of Immigration and Asylum, Mrs. Sevi Voloudakivisited today (20/8) the HOUSE2one of the two hosting structures of Association of Merimni Minors and Youth (SMM), which operates in Athens for the purpose of protecting juvenile and young people in need.
House2 hosts younger children aged 6 to 12 years, as well as underage mothers with their children, providing them with housing, care and a family environment that covers their basic needs as well as their psychosocial, educational and legal support.

The Merimni Association of Juvenile and Youth, founded in 1924 and operating continuously to date, offers family care services to a total of 30 children through two hospitality structures: – The Teen Station, where 15 teenagers are hosted,
– House2, which hosts 11 younger children and 2 underage mothers with their children.
During the visit, the Deputy Minister was briefed on the work of the Association and talked with the children and workers of the structure.
“The Merimni Association of Juvenile and Youth is a shining example of care and humanity. With respect to children’s rights and dedication, it offers these children a true family, “said Ms. Sevi Voloudakis.
At the same time, he stressed that ‘the Ministry of Immigration and Asylum It will continue to support such structures that offer the most vulnerable members of our society the embrace and protection they need. “
