Both impressive jets, four -wheel drive and spacious, offer a unique perspective for aircraft observers, with the Russian technically newer design.
The comparison of the two presidential aircraft
The type and their construction
Ilyushin Il-96 (Putin): Russian four-way four-way aircraft made by Ilyushin. This is a newer design of Air Force One’s Boeing 747-200/8, with technology and systems that are adapted for presidential travel and security.
Boeing 747-200B / 747-8 (Air Force One, Trump): American four-wheel drive Jet, specifically modified for the US President. Includes advanced communication systems, anti -missile protection, and fully equipped interior for work, rest and strategic needs.
Their size and performance
IL-96: About 55 meters long, opening of wings 60 meters, a capacity of about 262 passengers in normal regulation (less in presidential configuration).
Air Force One: 70 meters long (747-200B), wings open 60 meters, capacity of up to 70-100 people in presidential configuration, although the jet can carry up to 400 passengers to normal commercial configuration.
Their range
IL-96: About 11,000 kilometers, enough for non-stable international flights without refueling.
Air Force One: About 12,000 kilometers, also capable of long distances, with the capability of refueling, increasing its autonomy almost unlimited.
Their safety and technology
IL-96: Equipped with modern communications and countermeasures, resistant to electronic and natural dangers.
Air Force One: Overprotected, with anti -missile systems, electronic war equipment, satellite communications and full strategic support. It is considered one of the safest aircraft in the world.
Their inner construction
IL-96: Presidential Suites, meeting rooms, offices and provisions for personnel and security
Air Force One: Fully equipped for work, high -level meetings, medical support, offices, rest areas, kitchen, and full security infrastructure and military staff.
In conclusion, Trump’s Air Force One superior to security, communication technology and work infrastructure, and is larger in size.
On the other hand, Putin’s Ilyushin IL-96 is newer design, reliable and suitable for international flights, with several adjustments for the Russian Presidential Protocol, but technologically and at the level of protection is below Air Force One.
