In consultation by DESFA the addition

THE DESFA It consulted a € 15m consultation for the supply and installation of a floating platform for the purpose of loading/unloading ships with fuel in fuel LNG (SSLNG) at the Revithousa terminal.

As stated in the relevant text, DESFA seeks to expand the bunkering services it provides for ships that use LNG from 1,000 to 30,000 sq. M. Among other things, the terminal will be able to serve commercial ships or even cruise ships in the future.

Based on the foreseen, the platform will be installed in the northeast of Revithousa and will have a service life of 25 years.

According to the design, the floating platform will be equipped with flexible tubing stretching to the ship in order to easily refuel.

This project is based on studies of the Poseidon Med II program. It is part of the necessary steps to adopt liquefied natural gas as a sea fuel in the eastern Mediterranean. The benefits of such an infrastructure are summarized in the supply of new areas/markets, the opening of a new industry in the gas market in Greece (supply of ships) and the “charisma” of the Greek energy system.
