Horrible crimewith the victim of a pregnant Greek Australian and her partner, is shocked by Monday (13/08/2025) by Mount Weaverly, her suburb Melbourne.
The 39 -year -old Greek -Australis, Athina Georgopoulou, who was in her 5th month of pregnancy and her 50 -year -old partner, Andrew Gun, were found dead by the police authorities who invaded their home in Melbourne after a neighbor’s phone call.
Georgopoulou’s companion, with whom she has been a couple for the past three years, found beheaded, with his head mounted on a stakewhile she was just next to him.
A perpetrator of the heinous crime is said to be a 34 -year -old homeless man who was arrested the same night. He was arrested along with two large dogs, a few hours later at a nearby train station, about 6 kilometers from the double murder.
Police claim that the perpetrator was known to the coupledescribing the double murder as a “targeted attack”. Authorities are continuing investigations to ascertain the perpetrator’s motivation and relationship with the victims.
Researchers are considering whether graffiti written outside the property – including “ur gay”, “Enough is enough”, “Betrayal” and “Karma” – are linked to the horrifying crime.
The dead woman worked as a customer service spokesman for various electricity and insurance companies.
Yesterday (12/08/2025), her mother, Petty Georgopoulou, paid tribute to her daughter with a gross posting on social media.
“My heart, you left life so unjustly that I still can’t believe it. In recent days you have been so happy – we have dreams of our little granddaughter to bring in your life together, “he wrote in a moving post on Facebook.
Athena Georgopoulou’s aunt, Patty Dilveridis, said her niece was excited about the prospect of motherhood, and her mother, Petty, had recently met her partner’s parents to celebrate this pleasant event.
