The situation in Chios
On the front of Chios, the minister stressed that the island’s General Hospital is in a state of high alert. Already, its structures accept citizens in need of medical care, mainly people facing respiratory problems due to dense smoke.
At the same time, Mr. Georgiadis announced that one Medical team from the hospital has already begun and is heading to the affected areas in order to provide health care directly to the field. He also noted that he would soon be ready to accept incidents and the local Health Center.

The picture in Achaia
Referring to the fiery front of Achaia, the Minister of Health added that both the University General Hospital of Rio (PGNR) and the area’s health centers are on guard and are accepting people.
