Operating re -enters the Alexandroupolis LNG terminal

After a period of seven months, the floating terminal LNG her Alexandroupolis It is back in operation today, as announced by administrator Gastrade.

It is worth recalling that in January there was a damage that led to its interruption. Initially, Gastrade had identified August 15 as a date of return of the Alexandroupolis LNG terminal, but will eventually reopen a few days earlier, ie today.

According to the company’s announcement, the terminal will operate with reduced capacity at 25% from now until October 1, when the new year of gas begins. Its services will be available with maximum gasification capacity 41.5 GWh/day, and reserve coverage in relation to high pressure pumps.

It will then work at higher rates, although functional restrictions may remain for a short period of time.

In this way, the unit will be able to provide quantities of gas to the domestic and regional market during the winter season. This is especially important for countries such as Bulgaria based on LNG imports to meet their needs.
