The Israel is going to launch a large military operation to occupy its city Gauzeto the north of the Palestinian enclave. Official Objective: Hamas’ “neutralization” and ensure the liberation of all hostages, living or dead.
This decision is taken while the pressure is increased by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who criticizes both domestic and abroad for the continuation of the war in Gaza, where more than two million Palestinians are threatened, according to the UN, with a “general.”
According to the plan approved by the Israeli Security Council, the Armed Forces will occupy the city and distribute humanitarian aid “outside the battle zones”. The text also speaks of “tranquility” in the region and the establishment of a political administration “neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority”.
Intense international reaction
The Israeli decision is causing a wave of condemnation: from Germany, which suspends some arms exports to China, referring to “dangerous actions”, passing through the European Union and many Muslim countries. The UN Security Council is expected to meet extraordinary.

UN Secretary -General Antonio Guterres warned that such an attack could aggravate the already “devastating” consequences for civilians.
Concern between residents and hostage families
In Gaza, residents say they are afraid of “the worst”: mass displacements, new arrests, marches under the hot sun, lack of food. Israeli hostage families are also concerned that the attack will condemn their relatives.
According to Israeli sources, the army is already controlling or conducting land operations at about 75% of the Gaza Strip. The bombings continue, targeting Hamas executives and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Heavy human account
The Hamas Ministry of Health reports at least 61,330 dead in the Gaza Strip from the beginning of the conflict, mostly civilians – a number that the UN considers reliable. In Israel, the attack on October 7, 2023, claimed the lives of 1,219 people.
