AADE – Summer Business: Mass Checks, “bells” and padlocks on the Aegean islands

The massive and sweeping checks of the Independent Public Revenue Authority (AADE) continue during August in all summer tourist destinations, in mainland Greece and the islands, in the context of the summer business.

The AADE auditors impose more than two days’ fines and padlocks, where they find violations after checks on all business activity sectors.

The approach of the checks is 360, with auditors making surprise visits to businesses, leafing and feathering from POS and cash, contrasting them with mydata data, which are constantly receiving online and VAT statements. This approach enables them to control older uses.
