The prices of the shares In today’s (7.8.2025) meeting of the Athens Stock Exchange, with the market recording a new 15 -year -old high, moving on an upward orbit for the fourth consecutive session.
The focus of investment interest were the bank and Metlen shares. The market completed four upward meetings, during which the basic stock index recorded a total of 5.48%.
The General Price Index closed at 2,067.41 points, up 1.38%. It is the highest closure of the April 1, 2010 meeting (2,095.02 points). Since the beginning of the year it has made a profit of 40.67%.
The value of the transactions amounted to EUR 258,335 million, with 36,946,671 shares. The high capitalization index rose 1.44%, while the mid -capitalization index rose 0.39%.
Of the high capitalization shares, the shares of Metlen (+5.98%), Cyprus (+5.32%), GEK TERNA (+2.08%), Piraeus (+1.80%) and Eurobank (+1.75%) were the largest.
On the contrary, OPAP (-0.50%) and OTE (-0.44%) were the biggest decline.
The largest volume of trading was presented by Alpha Bank and Eurobank with 8,779,831 and 5,536,347 shares, respectively. The highest value was recorded by National, with € 41.53 million and Alpha Bank with € 30.78 million.
79 shares were on the rise, 31 declining and 15 remained stable. The shares rose the most: Attic editions (+9.52%) and Doppler (+9.26%). The biggest decline was recorded by the shares: Xyloromia (P) (-8.49%) and Progressive (-6.03%).
