The start of electronic submission of beneficiaries and providers for the purchase check program Book of the year 2025 of the Public Employment Service (DEPA) will be held tomorrow (6.8.25) at 11:00 am. Applications of the beneficiaries and providers will be submitted by 19.08.2025 at 23:59.
The purpose of the DBA program is to intellectual development of the workforce and to support businesses in the book field. A total of 150,000 checks will be issued worth 25 euros each, including VAT, with a budget of EUR 3,750,000. The program will be implemented from 1.9.25 to 31.12.25.
With the check in the form of a unique electronic code number, beneficiaries and beneficiaries will be able to buy a 10% discount of any book they choose from bookstores and publishers of the Provider Registry.
Beneficiaries of the program are:
- employees with a dependent employment relationship of private law at the expiry of the application deadline
- Employees insured due to a private employment relationship in E-EFKA in their professional category with contributions in favor of the DBA unemployment industry, at any time from 01.01.2024 until the expiry of the deadline for applications
- Unemployed registered in the DIBA digital register with a continuous period of at least 3 months of unemployment at the expiry date of the application deadline, which have an income of up to EUR 16,000, if they are unmarried, up to 24,000 euros, if they are married, up to EUR 5,000 for each child, or up to EUR 29,000, or up to EUR 29,000.
Beneficiaries of the program are the spouses of the beneficiaries when they are indirectly insured members, as well as the children of beneficiaries over 5 years of age, provided that they are indirectly insured members of the same parent or the other parent at the date of expiry date of applications.
The selection of beneficiaries is based on the scoring of specific criteria (disabled, single, number of children, income, first time participation in the program) in an objective and transparent manner through the integrated DBA Information System (IIS).
Applications of the beneficiaries concerned will be submitted exclusively electronically through gov.gr. More specifically, the route is: Initial / Work and Insurance / Compensation and Benefits / Book Purchases
Beneficiaries for submitting an application select “Link to the System by Certification by AADE” – “Entrance to AADE” and introduce their TAXISnet and AMKA codes
Providers are the bookstores and publishing houses of any legal form, which have a legal license.
Providers will be automatically integrated into the Providers of the previous year, as long as they update their participation and supporting documents. Applications of new providers will be submitted exclusively electronically through Single Digital Gate of the Greek State Gov.gr. Specifically, the route is: Initial / Work and Insurance / Compensation and Benefits / Providers of Book Purchase checks.
It is noted that providers wishing to apply for many branches should have DBA codes.
