The New Democracy was fiercely criticized by PASOK’s Foreign Authority, Dimitris Manzoafter a statement by the ruling party’s spokesman, Alexandra Sedoukouabout the Turkish Memorandum.
According to Dimitris Mantzos, PASOK makes it clear that the Turkish -Turkolibycio “agreement” on the demarcation of marine zones, signed in December 2019 under the ND government, is a “invalid and non -existent” text. He points out that this position has been a standing attitude of the party for six years.
Mr. Mantzos added that a “brave dose of political blur” was required to question PASOK’s attitude on national issues, especially by a government that, he said, remains “exposed” to the “Turkolibyan provocation”. He also referred to the isolation of the country that caused, according to him, the trilateral “cooperation of cooperation” in Constantinople.
Concluding his statement, he stressed the need for “prudence, seriousness and sobriety” in foreign policy and criticized the “unbearable lightness” of the announcements of “creating impressions”.
