DBA – 8 truths about the procedures followed

Absolutely lawful and transparent was the process of calling young people training programs her DEPAas the service itself assures, responding to recent publications that question the legitimacy of the project. The DBA rejects previous week’s allegations of untrue publications on the process of implementing training programs, stressing that the aim of the programs is to enhance human resources skills and to substantial employment support, in terms of equity.

The truth is that the selection is fully respected by the order of priority of the application, provided that the conditions set by the invitation are of course fulfilled. The prerequisite for participation for the beneficiaries of the unemployed in training programs is age (over 18) and registration in the DBA unemployed register. These conditions apply to the 1st invitation issued by DBA on 22.7.2022 (MIS invitation 5157226). We make it clear that checking applications is ongoing and no Useful Registry has been posted yet.
  8. It is absolutely false that there has been some surprise change in the terms of the public invitation. This never happened. What happened was a correct repetition of the invitation, because the call was not included by the Critical VIII of the Invitation, which concerns the section: thematic objects – detailed timing programs.

DBA implements a comprehensive plan to enhance employment with transparency and innovation – 350,000 beneficiaries to date

The Public Employment Service (DBA) is steadily proceeding to implement the largest subsidized vocational training program ever implemented in the country.

The program is designed to emphasize transparency, maximizing the number of beneficiaries, and the ability to choose citizens directly the program they will participate in.

The goal is for the number of beneficiaries to reach 500,000 by the end of 2025.

  • For the invitation to “upgrade skills upgrades and rehearsal programs in high -demand sectors with emphasis on digital, green and economic literacy skills for unemployed and employees of beneficiaries” in the context of Action 16913 of the National Hellenic Recovery Plan (Greece. 5226310), more than 230,000 applications were successfully submitted, despite increased technical challenges due to extremely high demand, which the DBA faced immediately and effectively. Specifically, DBA introduced a CAPTCHA system and transferred the infrastructure to “ITYE DIOFANTOS” for a better response. At the same time, it carries out a preliminary and universal check for the correctness of the applications.
  • For the targeted invitation for continuing vocational training programs in cutting -edge sectors in the context of Action 16792 of the National Association Recovery and Resilience Plan with the funding of the European Union – Next Generation EU (MIS 5223464), which concerns 25,000 unemployed, the program was rapidly closed due to high and high. 30,040 applications were successfully submitted, the first application was held at 15:21:32, that is, immediately after the invitation was issued and the commencement of applications. It is worth noting that the DBA reinforced its technological infrastructure, introduced additional security filters and developed control mechanisms that ensure that each application corresponds to a real person, with full documentation.

It is emphasized that the proposals of the bodies are available to each person in accordance with the principle of access to public documents (Article 5 of Law 2690/99, as applicable).
