Specifically, the fire in Euboea occurred in the area of Paragali between the villages of Trinity and Pissona of the Municipality of Dirphi Messapia and strong winds are blowing in the area. Conditions remain extremely difficult as the fire burns in dense vegetation, while the wind is constantly changing direction, threatening new areas and difficult to design businesses.
The fire, which was manifested by an unknown cause, quickly took on large dimensions because of strong windsdeveloping an extensive front moving towards the Artakis – Kimi road axis.
According to Eviaonline, they have been trapped in the fire that broke out two fire trucks with their crews and efforts are being made to release them.
Strong firefighters from the whole area rush to the point, while the risk of crossing the road is real and raises concern. The firefighters have already been lined up to face the fire so as not to cross the Artakis -Kimi road to Pissona.
The situation is particularly critical, as, according to eyewitnesses, if the flames break down the road, there is a serious risk that the fire will move threateningly towards the village of Pissona, which is currently not threatened immediately, but remains on alert.
For this reason, the General Secretariat for Civil Protection issued an extraordinary notice through 112, calling on citizens in Pissona to be immediately removed to Afrati for security reasons.

According to the Mayor of Durres-Messapia, George Psathas, who spoke to RES-EIA “the fire is high and the situation is particularly difficult, as the ground forces find it difficult to approach due to the intensity of the winds”. He has appealed for aerial means to enhance the extinguishing effort. As Mr Psathas points out, There are no houses in the area, but there are livestock and mainly pig farms.
At this point, strong firefighters and volunteers of the fish are operating, namely 60 firefighters, 18 firefighters, 2 hikers, 1 helicopter, 2 aircraft and volunteers.

According to the latest reports, the fire has already reached the poultry farms and pigs, which have been delivered to the flames, causing significant infrastructure and animal disasters.
