Socrates Famellos: “Strategic importance for the diplomatic relations of Greece and China, to invest in peace and international law”

“The diplomatic relations of Greece and China are of strategic importance and we have many opportunities to enhance this collaboration. This strategy starts with our choice for Greece’s multi -coparometric foreign policy and is based on the good relationship of the two peoples and the great and rich cultural heritage and the history of the two cultures.

Our relations with China must be based on mutual respect, transparency and common benefit. And we must take joint initiatives to support international cooperation organizations and to enhance confidence in their decisions and international law, “said SYRIZA President Progressive Alliance, Socrates During his meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, Siao Judceng.

Socrates Famellos, after pointing out that the two countries’ relations were significantly reinforced by the SYRIZA government, stressed:

“We believe that Greece -China cooperation should be further strengthened with priority in peace initiatives, which are our common interest. Recent tragic events in the Middle East prove that China, as a permanent member of the UN Security Council, can and should play a catalytic role in defending regional peace.

We also support the strengthening and expansion of cooperation at Europe in terms of commerce and investment and connected transport as well as in the areas of tourism and culture.

In the face of the duty war and the depreciation of international institutions and agreements, these partnerships must be fair, transparent and promote the common interests of the peoples and countries. “

At the same time, both sides agreed on the need to deepen the SYRIZA-PS and CCP relationships.

The meeting was also attended by the Western Division of the Second Athens Sector and the SYRIZA-PSA external sector, Rena Dourou.

Socrates Famellos donated the ambassador to a decorative olive tree, a symbol of peace, friendship and the Greek environment, and a paper cutter with the Athena owl, a distinctive symbol of knowledge, strategic thinking and Greek culture. Two symbolic gifts representing Greece.
