Announcements for the second phase of the “Agenda 2030” reform in the Armed Forces

This was emphasized, among other things, by the Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendiastoday, Thursday, July 23, at a press conference for the second phase of the “Agenda 2030” reform at Armed force.
Mr Dendias announced that compensation for the ghosts is increasing to 50 euros a month, from 8.8 euros today, while those serving in the border will increase to 100 euros per month. The increase will be applied from 1/1/2026.
The Minister of National Defense also emphasized that the new forces structure is based on the logic of adaptation, flexibility and efficiency with interdisciplinary and network -centered functioning, with the rationalization of staff distribution with the merger of camps and the establishment of new units and addresses.
As 45 additional camps said they will be merged and note that 137 have already been merged. At the same time, military courts are reduced from 15 to 6, with a total savings of € 85 million a year, plus 16.5 million from mergers.
He emphasized that it was necessary “to empower the autonomy of major formations” while explaining that four senior military administrations would be created, Thrace, Epirus – Macedonia, the Aegean and Eastern Mediterranean and the Supreme Military Administration of the Army.
In order to exploit the immovable property of the Armed Forces, Mr Dendias noted that “a bill has been filed for the unification of the three funds into a body responsible for exploitation” while underlining: “ambition but it is to use revenue for funding and funding.”

“We need to put solid roots so that what is being done is the result of consensus of the political system,” he added.
In particular, for the housing, he said that only 799 houses had been built in the last 20 years, and 1059 new houses would have been built by the start of the program until August 2026. The goal, he said, in 2027 to reach 2059 houses.
