Sakis Arnautoglou: Possible “snow surprises” at Christmas
The weather of Saturday (14/12/2024) and Sunday (15/12/2024) was analyzed by meteorologist Sakis Arnautoglou, while he also referred to the new forecast data for the weather from December 20 to 25.
As he said, these show “accumulation of quite cold towards December 20, 21, 22 in the Balkans and in general in eastern Europe”, he pointed out.
“There are indications that for the time being it is possible that between December 20 and 25 we will have some “descents” of quite cold air. There is a possibility of “snow surprises”. To what extent, how low and at what intensity… seeing and saying”, he pointed out.
“The cold seems like it will be quite noticeable in north-northeast Europe and will “intermittently descend” in the Balkans. “It remains to be seen if it will go south, how far south and if it will combine with barometric lows to give ‘snow surprises’,” he said of the Christmas weather.
