Spikes against PASOK The New Democracy spokesman, Alexandra Sdoukou, left a “fragmentary approach” to the OPECEPE scandal, defending the government’s stance and reiterating that its party supports the full investigation of the case through an investigation committee.
“Once again, PASOK is ringing open doors,” Ms Sedoukou said, stressing that the New Democracy has acted directly. by deleting its simple members allegedly involved in the case of agricultural subsidies. At the same time, he recalled that the ruling party has proposed from the outset the setting up of the examination, “without the disposition of set -off”, in a case that, he said, “has been hurting the country for decades” and has cost 2.7 billion euros in fines.
Ms Sedoukou also referred to the resignation of PASOK’s Heraklion Prefecture Secretary, Lambros Antonopoulos, a close associate of Nikos Androulakis, saying that his choice to return the subsidy in question by citing the reasons for “not being a good image”.
“As the days go by, new dimensions of the scandal are revealed,” he added, stressing that the opposition “fears what can be revealed” and therefore denies the overall investigation. “We insist on the one and only solution: all in the light, with no exceptions,” the New Democracy spokesman concluded.
In detail the entire statement of the ND press Affairs:
“Once again, PASOK is ringing open doors.
The New Democracy hastened to automatically delete all the simple members of the party allegedly involved in the OPECEPE case.
At the same time, it highlighted the actual dimension of the case, without a willingness to set off, and therefore qualified for the solution of the examination to fully investigate a case that has been hitting the country for decades and has cost 2.7 billion euros in fines.
Because in the New Democracy we believe that the case is not about a party, as opposition wants to convince Greek society.
On the contrary, as the days go by, new dimensions of the scandal are revealed, with the participation of a “secret” person and a co -ordinator of Mr. Androulakis from the Prefecture of Heraklion, who, although “innocent”, decided to return the subsidy from “faithful”.
And here we come to the essence of the opposition’s attitude: it hastened to renounce the solution to the overall investigation and insists on a fragmentary approach, because it simply scares what it can be revealed.
We insist on the one and only solution: everything in the light, with no exceptions. “
