Began the debate in the House of Foration Pre -trial calls for the referral of former Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Costas Ah. Karamanlis in the Judicial Council for the offense of breach of duty.
The debate is expected to be completed in the evening with the vote of the finding.
The ND believes that by the case file, Mr Karamanlis’ criminal responsibility is not arising, but nevertheless seeks to remain any shadow around his manipulations for the Greek railway. On the other hand, opposition parties are expected to launch an attack on the government for its choice to refer the former Transport Minister for a simple misdemeanor as they “saw” criminal responsibility for both himself and other ministers and deputy ministers of ND.
According to planning, the secret ballot will begin around 9pm and, according to parliamentary parties in favor of the Karamanlis referral, 154 MPs from the ND CO of ND are expected to vote. It should be noted that at least 151 positive votes are required for the Karamanlis referral.
