Syria: Al Sarah pledged to protect minorities after the ceasefire in suede

Its transitional president SyriaMohammad al -Sarah, pledged today (19.7.25) again to “protect minorities” in the country, following the announcement by the Syrian presidency of the fire that aims to put an end to the inter -communal conflicts that cost the lives of more than 700 people.

“The Syrian state is committed to protecting all minorities and communities in the country (…). We condemn all the crimes committed “in the sue, southern Syria, Sarah said in a speech relaying on Syrian television, committing to persecuting” crimes and cruelty “perpetrators.

The Syrian presidency announced earlier today a “immediate ceasefire” in the Sueida province, where security forces began to develop.

This development began following the announcement by the United States from the US ceasefire agreement between Syria and Israel, which states that it wants to protect the Druzos and has been opposed to the development of Syrian government forces in the province.

Sarah emphasized in his speech “the important role played by the United States, which confirmed their support in Syria in these difficult conditions and their interest in the country’s stability.”

He also thanked the Arab countries and Turkey for their help.

Yesterday, Friday, the US ambassador to Turkey and US envoy to Syria Tom Barak announced that Sarah and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accepted a ceasefire supported by Turkey and Jordan.

The Syrian president, however, was against Israel, which bombed Damascus and the southern part of Syria on Wednesday to force the Syrian authorities to withdraw their troops from the suede, which they had entered the day before.

These blows “pushed the country in a dangerous phase, which threatens its stability,” the transitional president of Syria noted.

These inter -communal conflicts further weaken the power of Ahmad al -Sarah, who, head of coalition of Islamist rebel organizations, overturned President Bashar al -Assad in December in a country that has been ruined after nearly 14 years of civil war.
