A 61 -year -old man is being hospitalized in a particularly critical condition at New York whom he “sucking” a magnetic tomograph.
The man fell “a victim” of the magnetic resonance imaging in New York because of a large metal necklace he was wearing.
The man allegedly entered the Nassau Open MRI examination area in Westbury, while the device was already in operation. According to Nassau County Police, the man was wearing a massive metal necklace when he entered the area.
The incident has begun an investigation with the authorities reporting that the man entered the room with the unauthorized tomograph and the strong magnetic field pulled him abruptly to the device because of the chain he was wearing.
He was rushed to a local hospital, where he is in critical condition.
Note that machines that make magnetic resonance imaging operate through extremely powerful magnetic fieldswhich are used to produce expensive body images.
This is also the reason where the presence of metal objects, such as jewelry, keys or other metal devices, is strictly forbidden. The existence of such objects can cause serious accidents, such as what happened in the case of the 61 -year -old.
