New ways and tools for the energy upgrade Citizens will soon have their homes, as the roadmap to save the buildings published by the RIS Includes dozens of different possible solutions.
According to the publication of the RIS, including the work of energy upgrades through electricity suppliers, which will also become Energy Services (ESCO) companies.
The logic is that the person concerned will apply to the supplier of his choice and then calculate the energy upgrading and effect he will have on consumption. The cost will be repaid through the electricity account within a predetermined period and if the savings are in practice the company promised the customer.
According to the RIS, this solution has the advantage that ESCO is taking a significant part of the investment risk, so it has a real incentive to achieve real savings. It can also significantly accelerate the adoption of energy efficient technologies.
On the other hand, there may be complex contracts that are difficult to understand by customers. Also, saving guarantees depend on ESCO performance, thus introducing dependence. The RIS estimates that initial market development can be slow without sufficient regulatory support.
However, information shows that the entry of suppliers into energy savings may start in 2026.
