The ND MP requested the lifting of his immunity
Lifting the immunity of Members of Parliament Lefteris Avgenakis For the episode with an employee at El. Venizelos »in July 2024 and Nikos Papadopoulos The Parliamentary Committee for Ethics is recommended for the incident at the National Gallery in March 2025.
During its meeting today, ND MP L. Avgenakis submitted a memorandum requesting himself the lifting of his immunity.
The committee reportedly decided “unanimously” to remove Mr Avgenakis’ immunity, while in order to remove the immunity of the “victory”, independent MP, N. Papadopoulos, he decided “by a majority”.
The final decision will be made by the Plenary of the House, probably next week.
