In one of the worst such outbreaks of violence in Spain in recent years, dozens of young people from far -right groups, some with hoods, threw bottles and other objects against police officers in Tore Pacheko last night, Sunday, July 13, 2025.
The riots broke out after the attack last week, unknown to an elderly man, injuring. Authorities even said that two of the detainees had been involved in this attack while still looking for the main offender. The remaining six, five Spaniards and one from North African country were arrested for attacking, disturbing public order, hate crimes and causing damage to property.

It is noteworthy that immigrants, many of whom are about one -third of the population of Tore Pacheko, numbering about 40,000 inhabitants, while many immigrants who work as wage workers in Georgia, one of the pillars of the Economy, also reside in the area around the city.
Speaking to the Cadena Ser Radio Station, Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marmaska attributed violence to the anti-immigration rhetoric of far-right groups and parties such as Vox. He even pointed out that these teams reinforce the boa against immigrants through the social media. He also said that police stopped more than 20 vehicles attempting to enter the city, with some of the occupants carrying sticks and extensive bats.
Abdelail, a North African immigrant living in Tore Pacheco and refused to say his last name, said he was afraid to get his scooter not to be hit by the tossed bottles. “We want peace. That’s what we want, we don’t want anything else,” he told Reuters on Sunday on a street in Tore Pacheco.
It is recalled that we had a similar incident in 2000 where violent protests against immigrants broke out in the city of El Euchido in Almeria in southern Spain after the assassination of three Spanish citizens by Moroccan immigrants.
