THE Panathinaikos won easily 2-0 against New Saints in the 5th game of his League Phase Conference League and is close to securing a place in the next phase of the competition.
Despite its bad start in the Conference League, Panathinaikos is now with one… foot in the playoffs for the “16”, having climbed to 18th place, after its victory over New Saints in England.
The “greens” once again presented an improved image with Rui Vitoria on their bench and with their second consecutive victory in the tournament, they were in the top 24 of the standings. The top 8 may no longer be an achievable goal for the “cloverleaf”, but even a point against Dynamo Minsk in the last matchday of the League Phase is enough for them to secure a place in the playoffs.
