In the competent parliamentary Finance Committee Introduced on Tuesday (15.7.2025) the bill of Ministry of National Economy and Finance titled “Property Tax Code”.
After processing, the bill, which codes in a single text the basic tax arrangements related to real estate and estate, It is expected to be discussed and voted on Wednesday (16.7.2025) in its plenary session Parliament.
According to the explanatory memorandum, the new Code brings together in single text scattered provisions concerning:
the property property,
the objective determination system,
ENFIA and possession of real estate (EFF),
the transfer of immovable property (VAT),
the taxation of inheritance, donations and parental benefits,
as well as the taxation of gambling profits.
The legislation includes related provisions passed on other laws, such as agricultural exemptions from the transfer tax and the exemption of real estate in Thrace in order to form a single regulatory framework.
