At least three people were killed according to the report of air raids launched by its armed forces Colombian vs. members of Clan del Golfo, the largest cartel Authorities in the country, as the authorities announced today (11.07.2025).
The military raid took place on Thursday in a mountainous inaccessible area of Antioch in Colombia and “so far, there are three dead and one arrest belonging to the infamous drug cartel,” said official Luis Eduro Martin.
According to authorities, the four belong to Clan del Golfo, which came from other far -right paramilitary organizations and is said to have more than 7,500 members.
“The bombings caused a landslide in the area,” Martins said, estimating that other drug cartel members had been overwhelmed.
This is the fourth military operation against Clan del Golfo in the Antioch area since the beginning of 2025.

“It is estimated that because of the four precision airflows, approximately 30 – 40 members of Clan del Golfo have been killed,” Colombian Defense Minister Pedro Arnoulfo Sanchez said in a post on the X platform.
The Social Democrat President, Gustavo Petros, was elected in 2022, promising “absolute peace” and began conversations with various organizations – rebels, paramilitary, drug traffickers – in the hope that he would end in negotiations.
But, almost a year before the end of his term, negotiations with the most powerful armed groups have not been fruitful and his government has launched military operations against them.
Political analysts attribute Gustavo Petro’s attitude to Donald Trump’s return to the White House, as the US president has pressured Colombia to adopt a hard line against armed groups involved in drug trafficking.
The Republican president is expected to decide in September whether to renew Colombia’s certification as an ally in the drug trafficking fight, which depends on the continuation of US funding for the fight against guerrillas and drug cartels.
The leaders of the two countries have clashed in recent months for issues such as the deportations of irregular immigrants, the imposition of duties and the alleged conspiracy plan to overthrow Peter with the rumored US Republican policies involvement.
