For the tragic case with the suicide of a 15 -year -old, after sexual abuse in Corfu in 2019, “The Smile of the Child” announced that he had submitted five reports of serious neglect and physical abuse from the minor from 2010 to 2015.
Indeed, according to the organization’s announcement regarding the minor case, in 2013 “The Smile of the Child” he received a request to host a 15 -year -old brothers, in which he did not respond to lack of space.
From 2015 to 2019 the Organization did not receive any reports or other information.
In 2019, the 15 -year -old who committed suicide was not identified as the child for which we had received the above reports.
At the same time, the data were not available at the time, nor were the causes that led the unfortunate 15 -year -old to suicide.
