The alarm bell for “worst cases” in Malakasa than that of the 16-year-old, who was brutally tortured by six Egyptians in hosting structure the president of the community slams immigrants.
“Unfortunately, we expected this and we expect much worse,” said the president of the Malakasa communityDimitris Angeletopoulos, describing the situation both inside and outside the hosting structure.
“In order not to sound exaggerated, these things are almost everyday. Not so wild incidents, but unfortunately within the structure there are continuity fights, beatings and stabbings“, as he stated speaking to ANT1.
At the same time, he noted that such incidents are recorded and outside the two structures which host a total of approx 3,000 immigrants. “Kids are afraid to go out and move around,” he said.
THE George Violes, a resident of the area, also speaking to ANT1, emphasized for his part that in a community with 500 inhabitants, such as Malakasa, there are two structures that have been hosting 3 to 4 thousand refugees and immigrants for years.
“The Council of State decided 11 months ago, with an irrevocable and non-appealable decision, that the structures must be closed for environmental reasons. And yet, 11 months later, nothing has been done”, characteristically said Mr. Violas.
The Chronicle of Horror
The horrific attack happened at around 03:00 in the morning on Monday (09.12.24) when six people, also from Egypt, took the minor, aged 16, from his room and took him to another part of the structure in Malacca .
There, as the 16-year-old complained, they tied his hands, gagged him and began to whip him with cables.
At the same time, one of the attackers was putting a red-hot spoon on his body, while another was sexually assaulting him. At the same time, another person was recording the moments of horror on video.
The 16-year-old was reportedly held at the scene until 08:00 on Monday morning.
The perpetrators viciously attacked the minor, as they accused him of stealing a mobile phone from them, an act which the 16-year-old claims he had not committed.
The minor did not immediately report the incident to the authorities because they threatened him that if he did something like that they would kill him.
Four people, including two minors, aged 16 and 17, have been arrested for the case, while two people aged 18 and 21, including the person who took the video, are still wanted.
