Like a thunderbolt in the air fell to Euboea the news of death By Dimitris Pipergia. The Euboean politician left his 74th year of life, sinking his wife and his three children in mourning.
The tragic news was made by his fellow villagers from the Euboea Dirms.

«My dear fellow villagers just before us became known that the dear friend Dimitris Pipergias of Pantelis is not in life. A fighter started by the unknown durres (1951) and became known in the Panhellenic by his action at GENOP PPC and later as a Member of Euboea. She had two weddings and had three wonderful children Pantelis from the 1st marriage and Angelos and Jason with Alexandra’s chosen.
We really lose a fighter but leaves his work to the three wonderful kids.

Who was Dimitris Pipergias
He was born in the Evia Dirus in 1951. In 1966 he graduated from the Konistras Gymnasium and was hired, after a competition, to PPC as a pupil. In 1971 he finished the First Vespers of Athens and in 1975 he completed his studies in Economics.
After the Transition, he is actively involved in the trade union movement and his struggles. Leading the struggles for building the welfare state and the guarantee of trade union freedoms.
He was persecuted for his struggles. More than 150 times it was led to the stool of the accused and not a few times to detention centers.
He was Secretary General of the Association of Graduates and Education PPC (74-77) and EIB PPC (1977-81). Also Vice President, Secretary General and President of GENOP – PPC (1978 – 94) and a member of the GSEE Executive Committee (1982 – 85).
In 1974 he joined the PASOK. The first conference is elected a member of his Central Committee. It is deleted in 1985. You are rearranged in PASOK in 1989 and re -elected in 1991 to its Central Committee. In 1993 he was elected a member of the Prefecture of Evia. It is re -elected in the 1996, 2000 and 2004 elections.
He was married to engineer Alexandra Vassilakopoulou and has three sons, Pantelis, Angelos and Jason-Spyros.
