Athens is trying to turn a page in its relationship with Libya. At a critical time for the Eastern Mediterranean, the Foreign Minister, George Gerapetritis, met today on Sunday at Benghazi With the head of the Libyan National Army, General Califa Haphtarsending a message of re -establishment and geopolitical claim.

With Turkey maintaining an active role in western Libya through agreements such as Turkish-Libyan Memorandumthe Greece is trying to recover diplomatic ground in a key country for the security of the Eastern Mediterranean.
