Naim Kassem: Hezbollah leader excludes the possibility of “capitulating” under Israel’s threat

Her leader Hezbollah of Lebanon today (06.07.2025) stated that its organization, which was significantly weakened by war with the Israelshe will not “capitulate” or deliver her weapons, despite the intense pressure she faces to disarm.

“The threat of Israel will not make us capitulated, we will not let anyone tell us to soften our positions and deliver our weapons,” Naim Kassem said in a television profession that was broadcast to thousands of supporters who gathered in the southern Asura.

Tomorrow Monday, US Enlightenment Tom Barack is going to be in Beirut, and Lebanese authorities are expected to forward his response to his request to disarm the Shiite organization by the end of the year, according to an official source that he asked not to be named.

Naim Kassem stressed that Israel must first implement the ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, “to retire from the occupied territories, to stop its attacks (…), to release Lebanese prisoners.”

Kassem also called for the rebuilding of the areas destroyed by the war that ended in November.

Then “we will be ready for the second stage, which is the debate on Lebanese National Security and Defense Strategy”, a term that includes the issue of Hezbollah’s disarmament, he added.

Naim Kasem succeeded Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrala, who was killed in an Israeli raid on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital last September during the war between the Shiite organization and Israel.

Despite the truce in force on November 27, after more than a year of hostilities including two months of open war, the Israeli army regularly attacks Lebanon, with the aim of, he says, Hezbollah.

At the same time, the Israeli army, who should have completely withdrawn his troops from Lebanon, maintains five positions in the southern part of the country, which he considers strategically.
