The football planet remains shocked by the death of Liverpool ace and national Portugal Diogo Zota and Andre’s brother in a traffic accident.
The funeral of Diogo Zota and his brother Andre is scheduled for Saturday morning (05.07.2025) in the hometown of the two footballers Gondohamar, near Portugal, Portugal.
Zota’s car was destroyed, caught fire, dragging himself and his brother to death.
As the newspaper “Jogo” said, the parents and his wife Diogo Zota went to Spain where they visited the Zamoras Law Medicine and Forensic Institute. There they entered the tragic process of recognizing the two corpses through the personal belongings of the two players.

Information from the Portuguese Foreign Ministry says that the corpses of Diogo Zota and his brother, Andre Silva, are no longer at the Spanish forensic center of Zamora.
The corpses are alleged to have been transferred to Puebla de Sanabria, A town near the border with Portugal and a few kilometers from the location of the tragic accident. They will then be taken to Porto, with the transfer being carried out by a Portuguese Funeral Office.
The funeral ceremony will begin at 10am. With alertness to the chapel of São Cosme, followed by a Divine Liturgy in the Igreja Matriz de Gondomar church.
