Unmanned aircraft was shot down on Thursday night (03.07.2025) near an airport where they are parked USAin the northern Iraq.
At Arbil Airport in Iraq, troops of the coalition against jihadists in the autonomous region of Iraqi Kurdistan are parked under the US, according to the Kurdish security forces.
“At 21.58 (local time) unmanned aircraft with explosive charge was shot down near Arbil’s international airport without causing casualties or damage,” the Kurdish terrorism control services said.
Earlier in the evening, Rudaw published material from a closed television circuit showing the moment the drone fell into a village near the airport.
There were no reports of damage or dead.

Lawand Mamundi, chief executive of Erbil Fly, told Rudaw that none of his company’s flights have been canceled.
