Real Madrid has announced the end of her collaboration with Tsous Mateo, who leaves the “queen” bench after three years as the first coach.
Tus Mateo had taken over Real Madrid by Pablo Lasso’s assistant after the latter’s health problem and won the Euroleague, with the “Merengues”, but this season’s bad season led him to exit. His replacement is expected to be Sergio Skariolos.

“Real Madrid and Tsous Mateo agreed to complete his term as head coach. The club thanks him for his work and dedication to the three seasons of the team, in which he won six titles: one Euroleague, two championships, one Cup and two Spanish Cup.

He was also selected as a top Euroleague coach in the 2023/24 season. Tsous Mateo has always represented the values of the club in an exemplary way. We wish him and his family the best in the next chapter of his life. “
