To change the time of submission of statements concerning the VATfor specific business categories, the Independent Public Revenue Authority is proceeding (AADE).
Specifically, according to Decision A.1049/2025, by the Governor of AADE, George Pitsilis, 92,590 businesses, which started operating from 1/1/2024 to 31/3/2025 and maintain a simplistic accounting system, now submit the VAT statements (July and hereinafter).
These companies have the opportunity to select the quarterly submission of the VAT statement, after 24 months from the date of commencement of their work.
Adopting the monthly VAT filing statements contributes to tackling tax evasion, preventing cases of businesses that, after a short period of operation, interrupt their operations without fulfilling their tax liabilities and other taxes.
