Mega Brokers proceeded to donate 30 televisions to the Hostel of Abused Women of the Municipality of Athens in the context of the company’s corporate social responsibility activities.
Televisions are already being placed in the hosting rooms of women and their children, Mega Brokers CEO Mr. Tasos Hadjitododosiou visited the Athens City Hall, where he met with Mayor Haris Doukas, Vice Mayor Maria Stratigakis and officials.
During the meeting, Mayor Haris Doukas said: “I would like to thank the president and chief executive of Mega Brokers, Mrs Yiannis and Tassos Hatzitodosiou, for donating 30 televisions to the hosting of the abused women of our municipality. Your support is not just an act of corporate social responsibility. It is a substantial contribution to our constant struggle for the protection and empowerment of women, who are in a vulnerable position. The Municipality of Athens in practice supports these women with important policies to combat domestic violence and discrimination. In addition to the hostel, which is a refuge for women who have been violent and their children, the Center for the Fighting of Gender Violence of the Municipality of Athens operates. At the same time, we are organizing seminars against sexual harassment in the workplace of our municipality. Working with sensitized bodies and businesses, such as yours, is very important. It improves the services provided and enhances our purpose: a society, without exclusion, violence and fear. Together we can continue to create structures that promote dignity, security and hope. ”
For his part, Mega Brokers CEO Mr. Tasos Hadjitodosiou said: “Solidarity is a demand of modern times. It is also an obligation for those businesses who want to be socially responsible. Particularly against social groups experiencing extreme situations, our solidarity must be continuous and targeted. Mega Brokers is in the work of the Municipality of Athens for the protection of women who are victims of extreme violence. We don’t stop there. We will continue by implementing the plan of corporate social responsibility actions we have developed. Finally, I would like to congratulate the Municipality of Athens and Mayor Haris Doukas on their own initiatives. We will always be by their side. “
