In a constant alarm are the Fire Forces in Oreokastro Thessaloniki and Serres.
In recession, according to the fire department, the fire which broke out at 8 yesterday (01.07.2025) in the evening, in a forest area in the northeast of the Middle Ages, in Oreokastro, Thessaloniki.
However, the fire in the area of Neos Souli in Serres, where a factory with timber is burned, is in full swing. The forces of the Fire Department are around the fiery front in order not to escape them.

The fire started at noon on Tuesday (01.07.2025) at a woodworking factory in Neo Souli, the Municipality of Emmanuel Pappas, Serres.
It initially occurred outside the factory, but quickly extended to adjacent farm areas, burning about 600 acres of low vegetation and 400 olive trees.
The non -extension of the fire was contributed to the machinery of the Serres Regional Unit, a crawler and two loaders, municipal machinery and residents of the area who created firefighting zones.
At 18:56 yesterday afternoon, he sounded 112 on residents’ cell phones, sending a message to remain on alert.
