Damage to the Radar System of Northwest Airports Italycauses a number of problems at the airports of Turin, Genoa, Bergamo and Milan.
The damage occurred around 9pm – local time – and caused a series of delays, as were some flight cancellations in Italy.
The problem, in essence, concerns the transmission of messages, meteorological forecasts and radar data, from the control towers to the pilots of the various aircraft.
