A decisive message on the treatment of the Turkolibyan Memorandum, as well as a recommendation for calm in the OPEKEPE case file, was sent by government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis, during today’s political authors’ briefing.
Concerning the case file for OPEKEPE, which was forwarded to Parliament and allegedly involved in ministers Maki Voridis and Lefteris Avgenakis, Mr Marinakis stressed that it was a “massive case file”, which does not automatically show that the reports involved.
“Care and sober. Experience in other cases, such as Tempi, shows how dangerous the premature conclusions are, “he said. “Asking me if the Triantopoulos model will be followed in something we haven’t yet seen is extremely premature and there is no reason to make such connections before seeing the facts well,” he said.
He also pointed out that when it comes to such a serious issue as agricultural subsidies, “we must speak honestly and without beautification. It is a morbid condition that lasts decades, “he said characteristically, however, clarifying that” each case is separate “and must be considered on the basis of this data.

Referring to the Turkolibyan seismic research agreements, Mr Marinakis stressed that “the memorandum is invalid, non -existent and illegal and does not produce legal results”, adding that the Greek answer has been from the first moment and continues to be the appropriate. As he explained, the country’s policy is being formed in KYSEA and is consistently implemented by the Foreign Ministry.
Asked about possible violations of Greek sovereign rights from Libya’s investigations, the government spokesman made it clear that “Greece will not accept any violation”, while pointing out that the maps that have been released so far seems to be outsourced. He also stressed that actions such as EEZ delimitation with Egypt and attracting international research companies are guaranteeing Greek positions in the field.
