Extends from tomorrow Thursday (26.6.2025), piloting the application of Work card For them workers in businesses in the wholesale, energy, financial industry, as well as in administrative and supportive tourism activities. The full application of the measure for the above sectors will come into force since November 3, 2025.
With the integration of these businesses, the digital work card measure extends to an additional 350,000 employees, raising the total number of employees protected by the measure to 1.85 million. The implementation of the measure essentially enhances the fight against indicated and undeclared labor, protecting both unfair practices and businesses from unfair competition.
ERGANI System data, in terms of April 2025, show that recorded overtime in all sectors of the digital work card are 78% increased compared to April 2024.
The most spectacular increase in recorded overtime is presented in the tourism sector where we had an increase of +1,105%. Particularly important is the increase in the rest of the large sectors of employment where they were compulsorily integrated into the digital work card from 7/2024 – 3/2025:
- Retail: 131% on a monthly basis
- Focus: 105% on a monthly basis
- Industry: 68% on a monthly basis
The above data confirms the effectiveness of the digital work card measure and at the same time highlight the essential role in recording the actual employment time.
