Labor bill: The Ministry of Labor’s dialogue begins with social partners

New round of consultations with social partners is starting today (23.06.2025) from Ministry of Labor on the subject of labor -trained bill entitled “Simplification of Labor Legislation, Strengthening Employees and Health and Safety at Work”.

The beginning of the dialogue by the Ministry of Labor is with the General Confederation of Workers of Greece (GSEE) and will be followed by meetings on the consultation on the labor bill with the Association of Business and Industry (BSE), the Hellenic Confederation of Trade and Entrepreneurship (ERC) Business (SETE) and the Association of Industries of Greece (SEB).

The draft bill seeks to simplify and accelerate recruitment procedures, reduce bureaucracy, modernization of labor provisions, further shielding workers’ rights, enhancing health and safety at work, harmonizing with international contracts for the work of labor, Work. At the same time, improvementary social security provisions are included.

This dialogue is conducted in parallel with the extensive consultation held in recent months between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the National Social Partners to improve the framework for the collective agreements and to cover employees.

The Minister of Labor and Social Security Niki Kerameos said: “We are launching today a new cycle of institutional, but mainly substantial dialogue with all national social partners, in order to discuss a new, drafting bill of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, with the aim of simplifying labor and labor.
