Maria Sakkari and Yulia Putincheva had a phrasal episode after his finale between the 1st round of Bad Homburg (the Greek champion took a difficult 2-0 set)
Immediately after the end of Maria Sakkari’s clash with Julia Puditseva, while the tennis players were giving their hands, there was tension with the two athletes exchanging some conversations in a strong tone before leaving the stadium.
Sakkari and Putinseva had a strong dialogue in the fiate, with voices going up and chatting becoming personal. The Greek champion was particularly upset with her opponent’s behavior because she didn’t look at her when she gave her hand and allegedly said to her, among other things, “no one likes you.”

A few hours later, Putincheva posted a story on Instagram presenting photos of Sakkari when she did not look at Emma Radukanou and Martina trembling in similar handshakes.
Putinseva then uploaded a photo of herself, which she accompanied with the caption: “By the way – not that I care – I gave her hand, as most women do. Obviously not according to the” hug protocol “that some men seem to follow.”
