How does Metro Line 4 go ahead

Open the fronts to hubs in key stations of the line -up of line 4 of Measure of Athens, which raises concern about possible delays in the progress of the project. The situation is more pressing at Evangelismos Station, which is a critical junction of a transfer, as it has not yet been delivered to Avax due to objections to the Rizari Park.

There are smaller issues at the “Goudi” station, where an unpredictably large EYDAP pipeline was found that had not been recorded in precursor studies. The issue is addressed by efforts to re -establish the station’s infrastructure. At the campus station, archaeological investigations have brought to light an ancient road, which, according to KAS’s decision, should be detached and transferred before construction proceeds.

At the same time, a positive development is recorded at the Exarchia Station, which, although partially delivered (80%), continues to have access problems due to judicial decisions that justify residents of the area. The Hellenic Metro examines the adjustment of the study study to unblock the project.

At the same time, the two Metropolitan “Athena” and “Victory” continue the opening of the twin tunnel, with a total progress of 4.5 kilometers from the projected 12.8. The first TBM, “Athena”, has already opened 3.2 kilometers of tunnel, crossing the points where the Goudi, Zografou and Ilisia stations will be built, and is now very close to the campus station. Its full mission is expected to be completed in the Evangelismian well by the end of 2025.

The second metropolitan, “Victory”, started from Veikos Grove and has opened 1,400 meters below Galatsi, heading to Helicon and Kypseli. There, the work work is ongoing, as in Kypseli Square, where the expansion of the site occupation was completed.

The first breakthrough is expected at the “Courts” station – Metropontika’s entrance into the station – while corresponding shells will take place at “Academy” and “Kolonaki” if conditions allow it.

The project is now critical, as the progress of TBM depends on the timely delivery of the stations.

Line 4, expected to serve tens of thousands of passengers daily, is the largest infrastructure project in Athens today. Its successful completion now depends not only on the technical progress, but also on the resolution of institutional and local barriers, which remain at the core of the challenge.

With a total length of 12.8 kilometers and 15 modern stations, the Athens Metro Line 4, built by the AVAX – GHELLA – ALSTOM consortium, will connect areas of Athens, such as Kypseli, Exarchia and Kolonaki, decisively facilitating travel.

Indicatively, the time of moving from the “Veikos Grove” to the “courts” of the Evelpidon will be only 5 minutes and until the painter’s “campus” in 14 minutes. Completion of the construction of the Tunnel of Line 4 is expected in 2026, confirming the reliability, high know -how and experience of the AVAX Group in the construction of complex infrastructure projects.
