Thessaloniki: Naked cyclists rushed to the streets of the city (photo & video)

On the streets of the center of Thessaloniki Dozens of cyclists poured on Friday afternoon by participating in the 18th International Naked Bike.

The start was given shortly before 8pm by Xarhakou Park, next to the HANTH, with participants – others completely naked, others with symbolic nudity or colorful bodypaintings – riding on main streets of the city.

The concentration began at 15:00, where artists engaged in bodypainting, turning the bodies of protests and expression canvas.

With the slogan “Come as much as you dare”, the event attracts people of all ages, gender and identity every year, moving with bicycles, skates, rollers or even … walking, as long as the medium is non-engineered.

The naked cycling has acquired international character and is organized in cities around the world. In Thessaloniki it is now one of the most recognizable activist events, which aims to raise awareness of cyclists, freedom of expression, and the need to change the urban model of travel.
