Nova ICT implements EOT digital transformation

OR Nova ICTtop company in the field of Technology Informatics and Communications, it undertook the implementation of the digital transformation of the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), a flagship project of national importance, funded by the NextGenerationeu recovery and durability.

The project “Digital Transformation of the Hellenic Tourism Organization” to be implemented by Nova ICT is an important step towards modernizing the country’s tourism strategy, by utilizing cutting -edge technologies and aiming to develop a single, interoperative and smart digital ecosystem.

The solution implemented by Nova ICT is based on three pillars:

  • Digital Tourist Map: An interactive platform for promoting the tourist product of each area, available in six languages, online and mobile applications.
  • Digital Repository: An innovative environment of digitized content from EOT natural files, enriched with augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies.
  • Smart Tourist Information System: An innovative tool based on artificial intelligence and big data analytics, to provide personalized information throughout the visitor’s journey.

The main goals of the project include the emergence of Greece as a digitally mature and internationally competitive tourist destination, with a consistent, uniform presence in the global environment. Particular emphasis is placed on attracting new markets, such as China and India, as well as improving the visitor’s experience, enabling the ability to fully organize the travel via mobile devices and tablets. At the same time, the project seeks to support local entrepreneurship through the highlight of local products, services and cultural stock, while contributing to the extension of the tourist season and the enhancement of alternative forms of tourism, such as thematic, naturalistic and cultural tourism.

The concentration and management of tourism information on a single digital gate will allow the redesign of the National Tourism Strategy, based on real data and dynamically growing needs, enhancing the country’s tourism brand and contributing to sustainable tourism development.

Through the implementation of this project, Nova ICT contributes to the formation of a modern “one-stop shop” tourist information, which incorporates strategic marketing, data analysis and interactive user experience.
