Conference League draw: Data and the likelihood of falling AEK and Mars on Shakhtar, Legia or Partizan

UEFA’s three European events are returning for the… start of their journey in the 2025/26 season. On Wednesday (18.06.2025) the draws – without Greek team – are scheduled in the first qualifying round in Champions League (15:00), Europa League (16:00) and Conference League (17:00).

As is well known, the champion and cup manager has secured participation in the Champions League League Phase, Panathinaikos will start in the 2nd Champions League qualifying round, PAOK from the 3rd Europa League qualifying phase while AEK (4th) and Mars (5th) From the 2nd qualifying phase of the Conference League.

Panathinaikos, AEK, and Mars will learn their opponents in the draw scheduled for Wednesday 18/7, while PAOK on July 21st.

A direct – but likely – scenario for AEK and Mars in view of the Conference League draw was underlined by Andreas Dimatos. In a post he explained why the two Greek teams may fall into a strong opponent from their very first games in the competition this year.

The post by Andreas Dimatos:

“Although powerful in tomorrow’s draw of the second qualifying round of the Conference League, AEK and Mars may see their prospective opponents tomorrow and teams such as Shakhtar Donetsk, Legia Warsaw or Partizan!

They will, of course, have their … powerless opponent in the first Europa qualifier, but will enter the draw at his own rate and in this possibility of six candidates for AEK and Mars, they will simply wish to qualify for the favorites and come to the powerful team of the couple …

Groups such as Sabah from Azerbaijan, Pristina from Kosovo, Tampere from Finland, Lefsky Sofia, Aktibe from Kazakhstan and Hungarian Paki!

In case of surprise, of course things can … bend “!
