In his intervention at the scientific workshop on ‘fertility, Birthplace and family support – a national strategy ‘, held on Sunday at the Tinos Tinos Foundation in Tinos, MEP Nicolas Farantouris It highlighted the importance of early diagnosis of infertility and proposed the free access of the AMI test into preventive check-ups for all women.
The seminar was under the auspices of important scientific bodies, such as the Hellenic Society of Reproductive Medicine and the National Center for Health Quality and Technology, while specialized scientists who documented the need for immediate and multilevel policies.

• AMI (antimylus hormone) by coverage by the State

• Finding exams and actions such as cryopreservation, artificial fertilization, etc. through European funds as eligible expenses
• Analogic forecasts and for male fertility
What is AMI examination:
Antimilius hormone (AMI) is today the most reliable indicator for female fertility, as it shows the ovarian reserve – that is, the number of eggs available. Knowing these elements can lead to solutions in time such as cryopreservation or IVF, procedures that also need to receive financial support.
As Mr Farantouris noted, “the cost of the AMI examination is very low – about 20 euros – but its value for prevention and information is incalculable. The cryopreservation and the artificial insemination They cost much more but they should also be supported and covered. “
Nicolas Farantouris recalled that the prime minister had pledged last year by TIF’s step to cover the exams, but nothing has been done to date. He also emphasized that the problem is multifactorial – staggering, accuracy, benefits, preschool structures – and requires a complete, serious national strategy.
