Iran’s religious leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, appointed Brigadier Mohammad Pakpour as leader of the Revolutionary Guards, in place of Hussein Salami, who was killed in the Israeli raids of Rising Lion.
Before being appointed leader of the guards of the Iranian revolution, Pakpour had served as leader of the IRGC land forces.

Iran’s leader also appointed Army Commander Abdolrachim Mousavi as a new leader of the Iranian Armed Forces Staff.
