They have been in Russia for the last few hours Bashar al-Assad and his family as its ousted president was granted asylum Syria.
In fact, the first photo of Bashar al-Assad was leaked from Russia, while the fact was also confirmed by the Ria Novosti agency, which reported that the ousted Syrian president and his family are in Moscow.

“Assad and his family members arrived in Moscow. Russia, on humanitarian grounds, granted them asylum,” a Kremlin source told TASS and Ria Novosti public news agencies.
From the moment the rebels captured Damascus, the thriller about Assad’s whereabouts began, with reports saying that he left the Syrian capital when the anti-regime forces arrived.
Russia, one of Assad’s closest allies, confirmed earlier on Sunday (08/12/2024) that he had left Syria, but did not say where he was or whether Moscow had given him sanctuary.
The flight tracking service “FlightRadar 24” recorded a Syrian Airlines plane taking off from the Damascus airport at the time of its capture by the anti-regime forces. It then appears to make a U-turn over the city of Homs and disappear.
