The unfortunate George Karyotis was found dead in his home in Rhodes in June 2022. For several months his 43 -year -old son was broadcasting and looking for the culprit for his father’s murder until he was arrested and sentenced to life in prison.
Last December, a 47 -year -old woman gave a deposition to the Rhodes Public Prosecutor’s Office, changed the data, and pointed to another man as a murderer, even giving detailed descriptions about the crime, the 41 -year -old 75 -year -old’s nephew who was arrested Yesterday (07.06.2025).
“We had been arguing with my cousin to rob my uncle. We knew he had somewhere hidden money. We wanted to pay off the people who supplied us drugs.
My cousin murdered him and when he was over he told me to go to help him make it look that he was robbed. I didn’t want to kill him. I had “drunk” coca and I didn’t understand anything, “the 41 -year -old told the authorities.
Reportedly, the 41 -year -old’s DNA was found on a towel and rope used for crime.
The 41 -year -old nephew of the unfortunate Karyotis is being held and will apologize next Tuesday, and is allegedly accused of other offenses.
